Fox crew denied access to cover press event at local school

Today the Moore (Oklahoma) public schools held a press event to showcase volunteers building a new playground at the new Plaza Towers Elementary. All media were invited EXCEPT KOKH Fox 25. The superintendent would not allow the Fox25 crew on the property and had Moore Police there who told the Fox25 crew that if they stepped foot on the property they would be arrested. The event was sponsored and paid for by Nike whose spokesperson said the superintendent told everyone, including the governor who was there to cut the ribbon with Kevin Durant, that they could not send a press release or talk to Fox25. No explanation was given to the Fox25 crew as to why they weren’t allowed to cover the event. The Moore school district recently eliminated its PIO position and now the superintendent handles all media matters. Weird.
