Exploring the possibilities now that I’ve been laid off from my latest full-time news job. What do most of you do, rent or own equipment? Either one can be expensive risky investment. I figure that since technology is changing all the time, perhaps renting is the way to go. And if you do rent, what video format is most popular? P2, or is it still best to shoot something on tape and give that to the client?
