I was laid off in the recession back in Aug ’09. I was living in a city out west, but not happy living there, told myself I wanted to move back down south, where I had lived and felt good living there.
After the recession, I had to move back home, with my parents, which was difficult, but doable.
I’m single, over 40 (no kids, no wife)….with that in mind, I have had some good job interviews recently, one was with a local place
One interview went good, it’s close to where I live (my hometown),but I just have no desire to move to the town where it’s offices are, but it’s work (!!)
I am currently working parttime at a local TV station, which I really enjoy, but my goal, ever since being laid off, is to move down south again, to a major city there. After my recent interview, a position did open with a company owned by a former producer in the city I am seeking….I applied, but have no idea what will happen, since there are no guarantees, although this Producer is on my reference list….
My desire is to leave the state I’m in, get to the city I want to be at permanently, but just wondering if this local place offers me the job, if I should take it, knowing I don’t want to live there….but it’s fulltime work ???
