...stories like this one have a way of getting on the air, or in this case, getting on a section front and the newspaper's web site. BTW, that guy mentioned in the first paragraph is an old fraternity brother of mine...http://www.qctimes.com/news/local/a...de-9e1d-001cc4c03286.html?oCampaign=hottopics

OOOPs...they changed the website after the story had been up for more than 24 hours. Here was the original lede in the Quad Cities Times:

Christmas dinner: Vineyard of Hope serves holiday meals

Cold seeped through heavy clothing as Haywood Jablomie dug into a meal of turkey and trimmings during Sister Ludmilla Benda’s Christmas Day dinner at Father’s Conroy’s Vineyard of Hope, 411 Pershing Ave., Davenport.
Asked why he was there, Jablomie pointed toward the side of the brick building. “Read the sign over there: ‘Father Conroy’s Vineyard of Hope.’ That’s what it is,” he said.

The dining area was filled with people and many guests ate their dinners outside. A table piled with blankets, gloves, long underwear and packages rapidly emptied as guests accepted gifts to help warm their spirits and bodies. All was hustle and bustle as volunteers topped off plates with food and prepared take-home boxes for those who couldn’t make it to the meal.
