It’s all about storytelling regardless of whether you’re shooting for the web or for broadcast. This seminar, offered by the National Press Photographers Foundation is for anyone who is telling stories with moving pictures and sound

Walk-in registrations are welcome for the 2007 Airborne TV Seminar in Rochester, NY on October 19th (critiques) and 20th (seminar) and Des Moines, IA with critiques on Saturday evening and the seminar on Sunday October 21st, 2007. Mailed and FAXed registrations will be accepted until October 12th. Walk in registration will also be available at the door.

There will be breakout sessions for both photographers and reporters and critiques (VHS tape only) at both stops.

Speakers include NPPA’s only three time Photographer of the Year, John Goheen; Editor of the Year, Joshua Shea from KCNC in Denver; Joe Fryer, runner-up winner of this year’s NPPA Photojournalism Reporting Award from KARE-TV in Minneapolis; and Deborah Potter, Executive Director of the NewsLab in Washington, DC.

I'm curious to know how the seminar went this weekend? I wanted to attend but couldn't travel because I was on-call this past weekend and couldn't switch with anyone because I'm traveling to Oklahoma this weekend. You should consider having a seminar in Washington DC or Baltimore in the future. The togs in DC could use a little NPPA work.

Greetings,
I thought it went great with wonderful presentations and many good questions - the lunch that WHO provided wasn't bad either. I just wish we'd seen more people.

We started the Airborne in DC but I don't think we've been back. I'd love to visit that part of the world but haven't been able to find as people or a station that wants to host us.

Regards,
