stick mic

Ok so its been a couple of years since I shopped for a stick mic or even really used one much. What do you recommend it would probably be occasional use but I would like to add 1 or 2 just in case the need arises.

EV RE-50. Get the black one. It looks better on camera.

They're great in the wind, a noisy environment, or for killing small vermin. They have very low handeling noise, and the pick up pattern is pretty tight. You can't go wrong with one.

There is no debate.
The Shure SM 63.
This is my “Its all turned to sh!t but at least I can trust my sound to be there” mic.
Floods, fires, hurricanes, jet boat racing you name it, my Sure SM63 has never let me down and goes with me everywhere... well not everywhere... everywhere when I’m working... :)

Good tip

"I use a foam bike handle over the shaft because it protects the mic and also prevents handing noise."

Great tip!
