EX-3 lenses

Does this tiny camera use the same chip as the EX-3? What would the benefit of this camera be over using a different lens on the EX-3?

It's more like you are mounting a camera onto your lens then the other way around. At some point manufacturers are going to have to build the hand grips into the lens. It all looks very cumbersome to use.

No. It uses Exmor technology, but it isn't an EX3 chip. The chip in this camera is an APS-C sized sensor as found in most DSLR's, and is only a single chip, so the usual issues of bayer conversion apply.
