Howdy fellas,
I have an old Sony WRR/WRT-27 wireless setup. It still works fine, but the WRR-27 receiver is about the size of a small automobile. It's on Channel 15.
I also recently found a Sony WRR-28 receiver. It's about the same size as a modern wireless receiver, but it didn't come with a transmitter. It's on channel 11.
So, here's the question. Is it viable to change the frequency (either of the WRT-27 or the WRR-28) so that they will work with each other? My guess is that I might be able to scavenge a quartz crystal out of the WRR-27 and install it in the 28, but this is probably beyond my abilities without some schematics. I'm just looking for a way to get a decent backup wireless without laying out a lot of money.
