Sony XDCAM tool keeps crashing FCP

Has or is this happening to anyone else ? I had the Sony xdcam transfer tool 2.5.1 and it kept on crashing FCP 6 , so I installed xdcam transfer tool 2.7 and the same thing continues to occur.

Does anyone has a suggestion as to what might be going wrong and how the problem can be corrected ?

Update about XDCAM transfer tool

There are rumors about the tool not working properly with OS X Leopard , this might be true.

There are rumors about the tool not working properly with OS X Leopard , this might be true.

It works fine. That rumor was true when Leopard was released last year. But not anymore. Trashing preferences and/or repairing disk permissions solves most incidents of application crashing on the Mac.
