two little stories from this week.
first one
volunteers finding it hard to keep up with request for gifts during the economic downturn.

second one a little natpkg on christmas mail delivery
YOU KNOW THE SAYING; NEITHER SNOW, NOR RAIN, NOR HEAT, NOR GLOOM OF NIGHT STAYS THESE COURIERS FROM THE SWIFT COMPLETION OF THEIR APPOINTED ROUNDS. SO IF YOUR DOORBELL RINGS TODAY; IT MAY NOT BE SANTA; IT MIGHT JUST BE WILLIE DOSS WITH A SPECIAL DELIVERY.

hope you all like these and
:D MERRY CHRISTMAS:D

Volunteer story:

Nice job overall.....good nats. The story itself was very run of the mill...was there no hook? No interesting angle to find to really make it pop? The wide shot interview didn't work for you in that instance...good idea just wrong place.....you're gonna get beat up here by not properly mic-ing the young girl....hide your mic cord, photography 101. You probably could have added spice by either editing quicker and reporter writing shorter...this would allow you to build nat monages to really make it zing.

Postman story:

Very weak...but a valient effort. Natpkgs are very very hard to pull off....you CAN do one but they are hard to get everything you need and find the story....etc etc. Some shots were way too long...find a way to not let there be that dead air...use short sots between....you needed a better opening....a better closing.....it looked like you shot it in 30 mins....be aware of the sequence involved of a postman going from the truck to the front door....grabs package, feet touch down, closes truck door, walks to door, rings doorbell...greets person, hands package, says good-bye (or Merry Christmas)...shoot the sequence in various shots (wide, medium, tight)...you will find a better shot variety and more to play with in the edit bay.

Keep trying....
