Preventative legal help, that is. Anybody know of a good physical resource (book) that has specifics on laws that photojournalists should or have to know? I'm looking for federal and/or state laws that apply to Philly or Pennsylvania. I have a basic knowledge of what is legal, but I would LOVE to have something physical in my hands in which I can actually read and see specific letters of the law or precedent cases. I would think that something like this exists, but I sure can't find it. Do I just have to get the laws from gov't. websites? Is there not a handbook type of thing for this? If there isn't, anyone interested in making one and becoming a rich book publisher instead of being a hack photojournalist? Just kidding, of course, and excuse the bad grammar. I figger there's just gotta be a handy dandy reference manual for all of us somewhere. Any ideas? Thanks for your help, the hook.

we live in the day of the sue them lottery you'd think some lawyer out their would be ambulance chasing the journalists who've been interfeared with.

you cannot have a reasonable expectation of pravacy while in public view is about the only defence to the first amendment we have left

Those links are great, especially the spj.org link. There is a photographers guide to privacy that I read...a bit hard to read, but worth taking the time.
