editing shows

Anyone else forced to fill in when your editing staff can't make it in? It's a regular occurance here and it really irritates me.

All I can say is suck it up, it happens. Try being called in for the morning editor at 3 am.

At my first station I worked the morning shift, 4am - 1:30pm and when I came in I had to edit the hour and a half morning show by myself and then when it was over at 7am go shoot a pkg with the anchor/reporter.

i've done it several times its a nice break from the daily grind and you know they can't call you away for breaking news. it gives me a better understanding of what they deal with.

iiiiiiiii haaaaaaaaated the morning shift!
had to suck it up and pay my dues.....
then i made rank. got the hell out the morning shift.. awww them were the days in corpus christi
KRIS CH 6...4 VO's 2 VO/SOTS then a PKG.
now its 2 storys a day.. just my speed..
but i cant stand editing the editor running around like a chickan with his head cut off.
yelling and pacing and bitch'n bout his job..
see the evil look in his eyes when something comes out the printer and its a tease and vo "will
you edit this"? whats the point of having an editor when the f*cker isnt editing? out side smoking his cigs. then back to the bitchn..
yes i feel the pain.
