Sad to see it go

It's been long enough I can finally say it's sad to see my shop go the way it has.

I don't know if others have seen this, but I recently went from being a shooter to a different department. What I didn't know (until it happened) is that most of my department also quit/changed departments.

Now the news dept. is full of green shooters who have less than a year. I've seen alot of bad shots, green vid, and audio that just sucks. I would love to help them out but I've been told not to talk to them.

Don't get me wrong, I wish the best for them. I know in a year they will grow and become something. I may even go back one day.

Teach them. A few sage words go a long way. I just wish the producers and the desk would give me more time to teach. Luckily, I have several good photogs who help spread the knowledge. I wish I could say it was from my quality leadership, but I know better.
