The NPPA Best of Television Photojournalism contest is now accepting entries!
This year's contest in Television News Photography is once again awarding 2 special awards. The Judge's Choice Award goes to the story that best exemplifies the ideals of television photojournalism.
The Topical Award will honor the best examples of TV photojournalism on " The 2004 Elections."
Participants do not specifically enter for either award. They will be given out by the judges after viewing all of the individual categories.
And don't forget that the TV News Photography Station of the Year is awarded in 3 divisions-Large market, Medium market, and Small market.
You can find all the rules, instructions, and entry forms for both the photography and editing contests on the NPPA web site at www.nppa.org.
Deadline is February 5th. Send in your entries today!

If you're an NPPA member, entry is free. Non-member entry fee is $50 per entry. Specifically, the contest website says:

The contest is open to both members and nonmembers of NPPA, including full-time, part-time and freelance photographers and editors working for local, network or public television stations. There is no fee to enter for members of NPPA.

Fees for non members are $50 per entry. (NPPA annual dues are $90; for information on joining, please visit our membership page. Make checks or money orders payable to the National Press Photographers Association, Inc. The entry fee does not entitle entrants to membership in NPPA

Okay everyone....deadline is in 1 week! Get your tapes in the mail! As of today (Friday) there are no entries in Large Market Station of the Year and only 2 entries for Photographer of the Year! Let me see those tapes! If you have any questions, let me know!
