Mpeg2 to Mpeg4

Hi Guys and Gals,
We have a tricaster in one of our Satellite trucks... It can record to the internal hard drive in Mpeg2 format. Client wants a copy of the show in Mpeg4.
I used to have a full editing suite, but no more.
Is there a simple standalone program to convert Mpeg2 to Mpeg4?
Many thanks!

Adobe or Hanbrake

If you have Adobe, Media Encoder will do it. You can also download Handbrake. Its a free program that is meant for ripping DVD's, but it also will convert most files into .mp4s.

Up the BNC

depending on the age of the tricaster, you can select what format codec you record in. the tricasters that we have will let us record in multiply codecs at one time.
Yeah, our tricaster is old enough that it only has Mpeg2 as a record format. I suppose it should be upgradeable, but I haven't pursued that yet.
