Making jpg from HD still clip

Is it possible to make a jpg out of an HD still using FCP? If so, how?

HD Still

Go to export / quicktime conversion / still image. From there you can select your format. By default it will export as a .png file. I shoot XDCAM so the image is squeezed, 1080 x 1440. Resize the image to 1080 x 1920 and you'll be set.

Open it in Preview, then save as... you'll get a choice of formats.

.png is the default, you have the option to export as a .jpg in FCP.

You can also use MPEG Streamclip to make a still frame into a JPEG

In Vegas, simply click on the capture icon above the preview frame. Its default is .jpg.
