I've been editing with Edius for a couple of years now and and I've had three layers going with chromakey and it was real time, but then again it's in a box, not a laptop.
Vegas, on the disappeariing files. is this an external drive? Is it possible that if the drive was removed and reinstalled that the drive letter would change, making for the disappearing files?
BTW, if you have V4 of Edius, just a heads-up that a .5 release is scheduled this week.
