OK, I shouldn’t care about this but it is driving me crazy.
I have an HD project I’m cutting in Edius. I want to export that project, FTP it back to the station, import it back to another Edius edit station and put it to air.
Using the Procoder Wizard, I export a HD file (mpeg-2, 1080-i), (1920x1080) the file is about 300mb. FTP it back to the station, import it into Edius, render it, everything looks fine. Done Deal.
BUT THE ENGINEERS ARE TELLING ME….
Using the Procoder Wizard, I need to export the file as a Video Editing Project, choose mpeg-2, set the aspect at 16x9 but use the 720x480 setting. The exported file is about 75mb smaller.
But using the engineers setting doesn’t seem to be HD.
Am I right?
