Some questions from a UN newbie - are there any little bits and pieces of gear you would recommend? Would a small hand truck be useful, as I understand its hard to get close to the UN entrance during Leaders' Week due to streets being closed for security and VIP motorcades? Working without a soundie, but would a boom-pole be useful? Are the speeches in the General Assembly and Security Council made available for recording? Is there a good spot in a nearby building for a high shot looking down into the facility? What about on the other side of the East River?
