Sorry to hear you had a problem with an XD disc. We have about 20 cameras in operation and each photog has about 15-20 discs apiece. I've not heard of anyone having any drop-outs, pixelization, problems whatsoever. With nighttime coming upon us so early now that daylight savings is over these cameras are soooooo nice. We edit on avid so we just send all the extra b-roll and pkgs vos, vosots, to the server. Xdcam is also a very nice camera very much like the betacam sx very nice picture but the extra are gonna cost you way more. Had a problem with errors on the discs. Might have just been a bad disc but very nice camera. Very easy to use
you can go wrong with either it just depends on what you budget is and if you want media on hand
or media on a server.
