A good skill to have is to know how to "bareback" your audio feed in the event the mixer in the truck croaks.
"Barebacking" is the process of plugging your audio directly into the transmitter. Some will take mic level inputs if you throw a switch and some will need line level. Keeping a line level mic in your bag is always smart but with DVCPRO cameras you can use the camera output to throw off line level audio in a pinch.
