Edius and Mov files

I need to edit some video shot with .mov files.... Edius says it can't open the files. IT sees the files, but just gives me a prompt saying Unable to Open. Edius 6.01. The .mov files datarate 34378 bitrate 35931

The video was shot 1920x1080 24fps

mov is a wrapper What is the codec?

MediaInfo is free. It tells all what you need to know. I use it when I can't open a file.

For better or for worse, we use VLC Player to open and convert video files.

We use "Idiot6" here, too.
