Can you believe this... They openly admit it's on spec! Why not just ask for a demo reel and hire someone. Why does everything have to be "reality tv" like.

Calling all DV documentary filmmakers and journalists in Cincinnati--Current TV has a great opportunity for you!

Current TV's journalism department is creating a network of citizen journalists around the country and around the world. These journalists are freelance contributors who serve as our "eyes and ears" on the ground. They work with each other and Current TV staff to effectively cover news and issues in their region. If you can produce a mini-documentary (3-5 min. long) from start to finished cut and you can cover the Cincinnati area, we want to hear from you!

Current TV reaches more than 50 million homes in the U.S. and the UK, so it's a great platform for your work. Your first piece is on spec, but if you get your mini-documentary onto our international cable channel, you get paid!

Cincinnati is a major Midwestern city and a source of significant news and issue stories. We're looking for a freelance contributor from the area who can tell us the news and issue stories that affect the 18-35 yr. old demographic--especially with elections right around the corner! Email us back--but PLEASE remember to include your exact location in the subject line!

Sunday Sunday Sunday

$200 for a half day on a Sunday! Please. Try maybe $1200. Sunday's are off limits. Heck it's the only day I see my family. $200 wouldn't pay me to charge my batteries, load my gear and start my car on a Sunday.

Why don't they just tell college kids,"hey, we got beer... Wanna shoot video." Cause really, isn't that what they're looking for. GEEEEEEEZ!

A fcuking lawyer!!! he wants video for free. Hell, he wouldn't want to bat an eye without getting paid for it and yet he wants fcking video services for free, the fcukin' nerve!!!!

I am an attorney moving to DC in April. I have long been interested in doing a legal Q&A video podcast. The problem is that, while I have the legal knowledge and some broadcast/journalism experience, I lack the equipment and technical knowledge to pull this off. I would like to set up a partnership with someone that has the facilities and know-how to do this. We can split all of the costs and, eventually the profits from the monetization of the podcast/website. I'd like it to be a professional quality production - something like the Leo Laporte podcasts, with a bit of humor like the Car Talk shows. Any thoughts?

We should all email him saying we would help him if he gets us off from a triple homicide charge. We can't pay him any money, but if he is good, there may be more work in the future.

okay so I found another one flag away gentlepeople.

Feature film crew

Reply to: gigs-570640010@craigslist.org
Date: 2008-02-11, 3:01PM EST

First time feature director with thirteen years of experience, crewing up a feature length mockumentary. All positions are open.

This will be a part time production, with shooting on weekends and evenings spread over several months. All positions are unpaid, but cast and crew will receive copy, credit, food on the set and investment shares in the film. I am currently shopping the script to distributors. This film will be finished and will get domestic distribution, my reputation depends on it.

I am specifically looking for people who would like to grow with me on future productions. While I am fully committed to making this the best production I possible can, I am also thinking about building the future of film production in Central Ohio. That translates into bigger budgets and actual salaries for the people who work with me. But I have to crawl before I walk, which is why I would love to find some talented people to help prop me up.

If you are interested, drop me a line with what position you are interested in and a bit about your experience. Also, make sure to let me know if you have gear (lighting, grip, sound, camera) that we could use for the production.
