Besides making us laugh I can’t see the purpose of showing these ads. The reason that these people keep on posting on Craiglist is because they always have takers. There are so many people out there desperate to put something on a demo reels or to get any kind of experience that they are willing to work for nothing. I bet if I could make the job sound interesting enough and show how much learning experience they could get they probably would be willing to pay me to be on the job. Actually that’s not a bad idea.

So that you can click on the link provided to flag down these no-pay postings. Jobs offering no-pay are prohibited by Craigslist TOS. But it's the community of viewers who flags these scumbag postings. If everyone who stops by this thread will go and flag, these folks might get the idea after their posts keep disappearing in short order. I have to agree with Canonman, Nino, as I actually look for work on Craigslist as I am not yet established as a freelancer. I do hit Mandy and others, but in Florida I don't yet have a lot of resources to go to. By the way, enjoyed meeting you Florida guys in Vegas. I used to post under avidfaa.
So, please help us out and flag these asses that want free labor...

Just picked up a full day shoot (for about 4 hours work). Producer is paying full rate and before leaving town with tapes. Yeah, there's a lot of junk but in my experience some good stuff too.

Nino
There was an "Academy" of film production operating 'round here a while back. They charged students $1800 and not only did they teach them the ins & outs of film production, they actually gave them the opportunity to actually work on a film!!! Had plenty of suckers, er students, for the 'school'. Dead of winter, big fun! Most of the kids dropped out of 'school'.

I'm not surprised at all. People are paying Rosenblum and the Travel Channel $2500 for 4 days training on how to take better vacation videos, something that you can learn at your local adult education programs for $75. I wish I could do those things too, I'm would make a ton, but I also have to look myself in the mirror everyday.

On occasion I have internships programs with local HS and some of the local Community colleges, whenever I can I have kids come along on shoots. You wouldn't believe how many asked me what I would charge so they could work with me regularly.
