I contacted said asshole and offer my services as an editor for some compensation. I explain that professionals, i.e. doctors, lawyers, mechanics, would do the same. Videographers Needed may 23 at UNLV

Las Vegas Marching Arts (a non-profit agency for youth music education) needs at least five videographers and at least two photographers to volunteer their creative talent for a shoot on Sat May 23 at UNLV from noon -2pm for various angles. Must have own cameras and a great attitude. Sound equipment donated by Carrison Sound.

We would like to film a short 5 minute video of a sample performance of the Southern Nevada Marching Honor Band and Vocal Motion (our parade choir). They will march in front of cameras as many times as needed. Shot gun mikes on boom poles will be hard wired to cameras. The video will be submitted as part of the application process required by the San Diego Holiday Bowl and the President's Council on Music in Washington DC. We will be performing for both.
Bring business cards so you can sell video/stills and hopefully get more business for yourself.

Videographers:
Professional video camera preferred ---audio inputs for channel 1 and 2 need to be xlr connectors
All volunteers must use similar format for editing
One volunteer to edit the film by June 1st

4-CCD 5-CMOS

$50 per video (from their website) would be sweet if I was still in college and able to use all their gear for free, but $50 per video is going to take a LOT of work just to pay off my computer monitor, not to mention camera, lights, mic, etc.

My favorite part is the "3-chip camera or better." Wow, when did they start making 4-CCD or 5-CMOS cameras?

I guess it really sucks for anyone that purchased a 1-CMOS RED camera. If they really wanted to be making $50 a day, they should have gone out and gotten one of Panasonic's miniDV cameras

I own a videography company and currently I'm out of town. I'll pay someone to go film a wedding and reception $185.00. It's going to be in Gresham,Or. on Friday July 24 at 7:00pm,you will need to be there at 6:00pm. Wedding and reception same place.

There is ALSO another wedding in Brownsville,Or also on Friday July 24 at 7:00pm as well. I need a Videographer for each one. If you are interested contact me. You need to have a fairly nice camera,if possible a wireless mic (but not required). I need for you to film everything in order as the night progresses,so when you leave your job is done,you don't have to edit. I only ask that you put titles (the couples names and wedding date at beginning of video.

Film all the pre-wedding things by getting there an hour early-6:00-get interviews/well wishes later at reception from guests also and don't leave until the couple leaves at the end of the evening. After it's been confirmed by the couple that you stayed until the end I will send you a money order for $185.00. Then you'll need to mail the couple 3 DVDs (after I have paid you). Thats it. If you do a good job I will have more for you in the future.

We are in a recession now. If you need $185.00 for one night of work this is the job for you. I will have more jobs in the future if you do a good job.


So: about $30 an hour to shoot, nothing for the edit and compression to DVD, nor the burn to DVD. I wonder what this guy is charging the wedding couple for the cameradude's effort?
