Can you scratch the crap out of unprotected LCD monitors in the back of your Chrysler?

why yes, yes you can.

Oh god... I hope you don't hit any bumps along the way. That photo makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. Did you use blankets or anything to provide a little bit of cushion? It might just be me being overprotective, but when I moved from the mountains into town, I used all my towels, blankets, and sheets as make-shift cushions for all of my computer gear that I wasn't able to pack into boxes with Styrofoam peanuts.

Although, I suppose if you crank some loud music, those two subs I see might thump enough to create a cushion of air that would cause everything to kind of levitate and float harmlessly in your trunk all the way to your destination. Or maybe I'm watching too much SyFy channel.

I didn't enter any drifting events on the way. :D
It was as easy as takin' it easy.

I did like the back sittin' an inch lower, I have to admit.
Everything survived. No dings. No scratches. No worries.

...'sept for closin' the door on my dadgum dongle.

that just doesn't sound right.

Ouch! Grinner!

Yepper.... I would feel a much beter seeing everything blanket wrapped...

Things happen,,, even though we do not anticipate them so always wrap stuff well...

Cool speakers.... put some Zep on there and let it rip!

It would be at this point which I would be looking into a laptop machine for these kind of trips...but that's just me, heh...

My advice...
After that last run at the track, man, have coke and a hotdog in the stands and watch some runs for a little while. Don't just turn off the track with adrenaline still pumpin' and head home.

Seriously, aren't you a bit old to be doing that stupid **** on the highway?
Consider yourself lucky to get that ticket.

Seems like as great of an idea as setting a tripod on top of a chair with wheels. Oh wait...

Times like this remind me of the many lessons about life I've learned from being an actual news photojournalist.

After my first year on the job, I looked back at every fatality I covered & it hit me that everyone of them involved people not using common sense when you look at it with 20/20 hindsight. Then I realized that I had a much better chance at a long life if I used common sense foresight. So I often asked myself "If I do this & something goes wrong, will other people look at it & go 'duh, of course that went wrong, it is common sense'?" If the answer is yes, I don't do it.

But I guess the real point is that I don't get my thrills from risking damaging my gear & my car. If I want an adrenaline rush, I'll go take a trip to Six Flags. But to each his own.

a lil modified 11 second srt4 is no match for a heavyass hemi, brother.

troof.

What can I say? I'm spontaneous. Always wanted to just punch it and that night, high on adrenaline from the track, I did. Stupid? heck yeah. Do I regret it? Not really. I grew from it. I keep it in check now on public roads (but now way overdo it at the track). I crash more than the average bear, no doubt but he who goes woohoo the most in this lifetime wins.
according to me, anyway.
