Access to DOT Cameras

The state of Michigan, where we are located, does not allow access to DOT highway traffic cameras. Do you have access in your state? If so,how did you acquire it? Thanks.
 
Just a thought but would these fall under freedom of information? Or if not maby you could arrange somthing with their PIO as a one off deal for a specific story or somthing of the like.

All of the local stations in Minneapolis have access to MnDOT's camera network, I think there was either an initial investment that each station made, or a "bill" they get every year, I'm not sure which. I'm guessing it would cover the fiber line it is on. I know the Kansas City area just brought traffic cams on line and I know stations there use them, they might have some insight into the process since it only happened a little over a year ago, if that.
