    Police Officer Killed

Kind of turned into a team shoot with me as editor. I shot everything at the crime scene. Funeral was a pool feed. One thing I wish could've been better was where the cop was talking about the officer killed. http://vimeo.com/12241218

    Archiving in a Tapeless World

How are stations archiving video these days? To DVD as a file? To dual-layer DVD as a file? To Blu-Ray as a file? To DVD or Blu-Ray as video? To a server? To portable drives? To tape? To XDCam discs? How are you doing it if you're on Final Cut? I searched some older threads and didn't see...

    Washington D.C. Questions

I know there are a few people on here with a wealth of knowledge on the city. I may be going there in May to cover the National Police Officer week. I believe it's also Preakness weekend at Pimllico. I've only been to D.C. once and it was for a conference. Where would be a good place to...

    A few stories

Here's a few of mine, feel free to make comments. I appreciate them! Limited video as the incident happened over 20 years ago and I'm not in local news so I don't have crime scene video. Plus, the address of the building had apparently changed... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8Sgk4VJdoQ I...

Dumping footage from the HVX-200 to Firewire Drive

I have an all day shoot coming up that I'm going to use the HVX-200. I haven't used it too much. What I want to do, in case I run out of card room, is to bring a firewire drive with and dump the footage to that. I have the the PC Mode set to 1394 Host. I have a Rugged LaCie powered...

    Camera batteries

It's time for us to replace batteries... We have Sony XDCams, occasional light usage, and powering a Lectro wireless or the Lectrosonic SR. I would prefer lithium ion batteries.... I've used IDX in the past and I like them. Anton Bauer is solid as well. I recently did demos with Switronix...

    Plug-in microphone for Lectrosonic receivers

I remember a former co-worker having a microphone that plugged directly into a Lectrosonic receiver. Does anybody know of a model number and who makes it? The microphone kind of looked like a goose-neck with a small Bob Barker type microphone on the top of it... Thanks!

    Switronix LI Batteries
