    My little old town of Adelaide, Australia is in the middle of a 5 day stretch of temps above 107 fahrenheit, and its no fun to work in for me or the gear any creative ideas how to stay cool other than stay indoors, and as we know as a news photog thats impossible.

    studio in other location

    Guys in Australia we have TV Network that does the Studio Presenting side of a news service out of Melbourne but the actual news gathering shooting, editing etc is done in Adelaide and sent across. Is this sort of thing common practice in the US or UK.

    Do your news readers, presenters or anchors have other jobs on the side e.g. radio or print? Does your station allow them to do this for cross promotion?

    Does anyone know, if once you have imported vision via XDCAM into FCP and the thumb nails are sitting in the left hand column, can you drag all of your thumbnails in the viewer so you can see them all at once, or do they have to be viewed one at a time.:)

    For all of the fcp users, when changing the system settings scratch disk to an external hard drive and changing the wave form cache ,thumbnail cache and auto save vault to the same fcp document hard drive it always changes back to the mac hard drive when you later relaunch fcp for another new...
