I have heard from a Panasonic sales guy that they are possibly going to get out of the broadcast market. They haven’t been keeping up very well with Sony, JVC, Canon and ARRI. I mean, P2 is already 10 years old. I still use it on a regular basis, and I’m not too worried, because I produce a lot of my own content, and AVC-Intra 100 is a great codec, but I am wondering if I shouldn’t invest back into Sony and possibly look at ARRI equipment because of the service and support down the road.
