(Lawrence, KS) NewsTV Corporation has a new owner and a new name, effective February 1, 2001.
Kat Metter, operations manager for the past 5 years, has purchased the company from founder and president Russ Ptacek.
The company is changing names, but not radically, says Mettner. The new company is: NewsTV Crews Inc.
"Ownership may have changed, but our mission remains absolutely the same", Mettner said.
"We will continue to provide top-notch Betacam crews throughout Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Oklahoma, with an emphasis on filling our clients news and corporate needs in the growing Kansas City and Oklahoma City markets."
NewsTV Crews Inc. also serves several European news clients with the region's only PAL equipment and trans-coding package.
Mettner also stressed that NewsTV's daily "Show Reports" and clipping service will continue to provide news organizations and trade publications with timely and accurate summaries.
"NewsTV Crews Inc. is looking forward to an exciting year and we are ready to roll for you anytime," Mettner said.
