Hey guys, I was recently promoted to chief at my station and the previous guy left things in a bit of a mess. I was wondering how other chiefs keep track of inventory. Is it best to use something like Excel or to write everything down? How do you deal with old gear breaking and new items being ordered?
And finally would anyone mind posting an example of their inventory list? Thanks guys |

Create an xls file in Google Drive and track it all there. Column two is who the item is assigned to or it's locker number. Fourth column is serial numbers. Everything else is pretty self-explanatory.
