I was watching last night and noticed that the angle following next to Bellicheck on the ground was an obvious network camera guy, then they took the overhead following shot and you could see the same guy on the ground.
If I was that guy I would have done a quick disconnect and ran up behind the guy and swung the camera as hard as I could into the side of his dome. He ain't getting up so quick from that.
Saw that too, it's funny since right when that happened I was telling my wife how much of a jerk that guy is and that I was happy that his decision cost the Pats the game. As soon as I said it, we see the camera guy knocked to the ground as he walks off the field.
Sure looks like it in those photos, doesn't it? But that's not what happened.
Here's video:
Watch it again, closely. The shooter who goes down is attached to a cable that is being strung across the field among all the players and staff headed for the locker room. He has a cable puller running along behind him to wrangle it.
WATCH THAT CABLE. Just before the photog makes contact with the bodyguard, his cable goes taut. If you watch closely, you'll see the cable puller try to grab the photog to stop him before he runs out of line. He's too late. The photog is pulled up short and yanked off his feet by his own momentum. Unfortunately he was moving along right in front of the bodyguard when that happened, so that a collision was inevitable.

WATCH THAT CABLE.
I agree, the cable (or lack off) is most likely what took the photographer off his feet. But, to say that the security guy didn't put his hands on, and shove the camera right before the cable ran out is simply incorrect.
It's so hard to tell, but to me, it looks like he grabs the photog's arm, then grabs the camera at the same time the cable runs out. Looks like he was trying to clear everyone out of the way. You can actually see him speed up to get to the photog, after he clears the still guy out of the way.

He did put his hands on the guy, but I don't think it was an intentional shove. The photog was tracking in front of the bald guy, a little to the side but still in his path. As long as they kept moving, it worked. But when the cable came up short, the photog was essentially pulled right into the bald guy's path. I don't think baldie had much choice but to put his hands up to deflect the photog.
What I wonder is whether the photos from the first post were cropped to cut out the cable. You can see it quite clearly in the video, but it's conveniently missing from the stills.

I don't know the cable defiantly yanked him back but wether he had some help on the way down from the hired goon or not I can't tell from that footage. The guy defiantly didn't slow down or attempt to go around though.
The still shooter went back quite quickly after being "tapped" by baldie... Doesn't matter whether they "deserved it" or not, Belichick and his crew are still schmucks.
