I did a two day shoot last week for Verizon and they bad a helicopter drone with a 5D mounted on it.

As far as i know some permits have been granted for companies to "check infrastructure". Pipelines and powerlines sort of thing. Who owned the mini heli? If it was verizon they may be legally cleared to fly it but not for marketing purposes.
