I had a chance to work with Cameradude on a pilot shoot I crewed up for NBC/Universal last week in Charlotte.
Great guy, great gear, great attitude. Of course, you still have to hire me first, but hard to go wrong with Dieter. Other than the rough tattoos, you'd never know he'd ever even been in prison.* *for those inexperienced in the ways of internet sarcasm...to the best of my knowledge, Dieter has never actually been in prison. But his tattoos ARE killer.** **for those inexperienced in the ways of sarcastic internet codicils: to the best of my knowledge, Dieter does not actually have prison tattoos. OTOH, he did keep his shirt on the entire two days of shooting.*** ***unlike the previous two asterisked statements, this one is actually true. Thank goodness...

*Not true. He's been in prison WITH Oprah.
***What about his pants? That always seems to be the tough one. Especially in the summer...

Fortunately, my e-mails to him specified that this was not one of his normal "pants free" shoots. ;}
