I guess optical disc isn't dead after all! More and more small form factor/chip cameras with big cam features. Not sure if that is a good thing or bad thing?

Actually, there are 5 new cameras from Sony that have been leaked. And I predict there will be at least one more major announcement at (or before) NAB.
PMW-100 PDW-680 NEX-FS700 HXR-NX30 PMW-V350 ????

Douglas, thanks for sharing the V350, made my day. It is even more exciting than the new technology out of New Mexico.

V350 is a "gamechanger". This is the camera most have been waiting for. ENG type camera, accepts ENG lenses, no changing lenses, and gives you that film (DSLR) look. Nice job Sony.

For the V350? I'm guessing the list price is going to be about 7oz of pure unicorn tears.

Yes I see an illustrious life for these units in the porn industry. Perhaps even the most costly type of porn "Camera Porn" which is feared by the wives of photographers the world over.

Everyone wanting a PMW-V305... I can get you one for free, I just have a bridge to sell you first.
Details are at the very top of the article. http://cinescopophilia.com/sony-pmw-...ode-camcorder/ Similar details on this press release from the wireless guys in New Mexico: http://www.lectrosonics.com/Press-Re...liminator.html And if you still need more help... what was Sunday, when these were posted?

![]() Aside from everything else what will I do with all those Unicorn tears I've been collecting?

I thought I had won the Mega Millions for about 7min, until I took a deep breath & started to think clearly again w/o emotion, went back & checked the date. A little disappointed, but enjoyed it none the less & figured it was good enough to share.

What do you think. Is there a chance the PMW-100 will replace the EX1&3? It seems to be positioned more to compete with the Canon 305 and 105 which aren't very popular in my neck of the woods. I don't know any one who has one.
I guess I'm still going to wait until NAB to see if there is a replacement for my stolen EX3. Whether its from Sony, or any one else. I hate flip out viewfinders. I love the one on the EX3. If my clients start insisting on 50 Mbps, perhaps I can get an outboard recorder.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the EX1 replaced by a version of the NX5U that shoots on SxS instead of SDHC and has 1/2" chips over 1/3". Everything else would be exactly as is on the NX5U. Maybe call it an EX5U. It would be cost effective for Sony because the EX5, NX5, and Z5 would be using the same chassis and components thereby reducing the production cost of the current EX1. I'd also like to see the EX3 replaced with a more ergonomic shoulder mount version (much like JVC's 750) with a 20x optical stock lens. They could call it an EX7.

Maybe you could smear them on the lens like Vaseline you know to make everything look glittery and all.
