Nano Flash and HDX900

I posted in another forum, this same topic. I wanted to check here since there are so many HDX900 users and I know a few of us have the Nano, too.....

I am doing an SD shoot tomorrow and will be using the HDX900's SD downconverted SDI signal and recording MOV files as IMX 50Mbit.

It sounds like there is not embedded timecode in that signal, is that right?
The workaround is:

-set internal timecode in the Nano and record manually,
OR
-use a timecode/trigger cable built for the Nano

Is there a reason that the HDX900 does not output timecode with the downconverted SD-SDI signal? Is there a setting in the camera that fixes that, or is it always not present? I've never needed to know until now, so this is uncharted territory for me.

I haven't done any testing myself... so I am assuming if I run this setup, I will not see timecode from the SD-SDI signal. I will test later today, when I get the time, to be sure this is the case.

I just did an HD shoot, and the Nano did really well. Timecode is definitely embedded in the HD-SDI signal from an HDX900.

*EDIT*
I have run a test and timecode does not embed in the SD SDI signal, just the HD SDI signal. So, the cable is seeming like the best workaround.
