From what I've read online, I think the original cartoonist who sketched that poster has since tried to distance herself from the event, especially after some of the more offensive pictures were posted to facebook groups.
I am 100% for free speech, regardless of whose mouth it's coming out of and what words they might be speaking, and I'm royally pissed at the Comedy Central for going as far as they did with the censorship of the contentious episode, simply to placate the minority of extremists.
I also understand that it's not just the extremists that are offended by images of the prophet Muhammad, but the actions taken by Comedy Central set a dangerous precedent. I also want to hear the speech that they bleeped out at the end; hopefully it'll be released 'uncensored' on DVD.
