Final Cut Still Picture Issue

Hey folks,

Odd little problem that I've run into.
Running the latest version of Final Cut using a Kona card.
When I put movement onto a still picture that I've imported (jpg), it starts out looking really good....but when I render it, the movement gets really jerky. Why would as simple movement look better unrendered then rendered?

thanks

Animating a picture

Found this fix over at Apple's forums:
Try setting your sequence field dominance to "none." And make sure that the pictures field dominance is also set to none (make sure that the clips in the timeline have the correct field dominance - select a clip in the timeline and hit command-9).

Let us know if it works for you!

Using that setting made the movement on the still look great...it gave the rest of the video on the timeline a weird shutter-ish look though. Is there a way to apply the field dominance solely to the stills? Maybe there's a still import setting that I need to find.
Thanks for the help!

Deinterlace didn't do anything...I'll try the different file types.
Thanks for all the suggestions!

try this

click on the still in your timeline. Navigate to the motion tab in the viewer. twirl down the "time remap arrow and deselect the "motion blur" box. Render.
You have to do this after you put it on the timeline and after you put the movement on the still.
If that doesnt work, try moving it in motion.
