Final Cut editing issue

I am having a problem with clips in Final Cut. When I select clips I would like both audio and video to be selected together. My issue is I could do the above action for a while. Sometimes I have to option click to get both audio and video selected together. This is also the problem with the razor blade tool. Most of the time I can cut both audio and video at the same time, but in some cases I have to use the option click to cut all tracks.

P.S.

The tracks are linked together and the audio is in stereo pair...

Any help would be appreciated. Of course ask me a question if I wasn't clear enough on my issue!

Actually I just found it!

I wrote too soon! Linked Selection needed to be selected!
