FCP Freehand Matte?

Hi again!

Thanks to everyone that's been helping me out as I switch from Avid to FCP Here's my question of the day:
Does FCP have a matte effect where you can freehand the part of the image you want cut out? In Avid, you can do it using the AniMatte effect, if I remember correctly.

BTW, I've tried the free 50pt. Bezier Garbage Matte download....it takes WAY to long to use to be useful.

Try the 8 point garbage matte. You can move the individual points and then smooth the edges/feather.

Even try drop shadow for a neat look (if it works for your video)

CHV has a Bezier matte plug in for FCP (still a bit of work to get it to work the way you want to though). Or you could do it in Motion......

stick with that 8 point and then use the edge feather. It will do you right !!

The 8 point is way too imprecise, and the 50 point is way too time intensive. Motion is the best option right now, but i really hope somebody comes up with a freehand matte for within FCP.
