In edius 6, what xport setting do you use to export when you plan to FTP the file? In Edius 5, we were using the standard "playstation portable" export.
Depending on the end use we have used DV or Windows Media (often the 640 x 480 for web preset). For our in house transfers we use mxf. Hope this helps.
generic mpeg (program stream) with audio cut down to 192kbps seems to get our ~1:20 pkgs down in the 40-50MB range, which on our cell network takes about 5-8min to transfer (3G with decent signal).
