I need a 1 min video file to be 100MB...if I export it through the encoder as a .mpeg file it has a size of 140MB...any help to get it to my target size is greatly appreciated. Using Edius 4 editing system. Thanks.

Not familiar with that system, but what I do is run videos thru QuickTime Pro and reduce...if you have a similar software, that might do the trick.

Try Handbrake. It should knock it down under 100 meg, and still look good.

You can download it for free. I have used it to crush files down for e-mails.

Hope it's not too late...

Export as "MPEG Generic", No downloads/external systems needed. The compression is unnoticable to the untrained eye. When you're exporting it should be one of the options available in the codec section. Works great!

Export> Print to file> Presets> MPEG (Generic)

Ozkar,

The file is small enough to use a memory stick. It's a handy piece of software to have.
I have crushed files, and import them back on the timeline. Looks as good as the orginal.
