Anyone one using Quantel for daily news?

First story I've been involved with of the new Quantel, when we tried to publish it crashed, so had to take out a lot of the dissolves and fx.
eclipse This was the barsted child we were left with it was ok but a bit of a bummer. Apparently there is a patch out tonight to fix the dissolve prob.

we use it

We use Quantel for daily news. It works well. No bells or whistles, but its relaible. Very user friendly. We don't have many problems with it crashing, but it does lock up from time to time when you have too many clips on your desktop.

KOMO does and it crashes almost every show. Calling it junk would be a complement. Its not ment for fast turn arounds. I hear it was first designed for the film world.
