I am looking into purchasing a set of microphones for doing an even mix of shooting inside and outside, primarily dialogue.

My budget is mid-range, About $1200 for everything. I was thinking about getting these from B&H. A Sennheiser ME66 package with the K6, Rycote, stabilizer, and boom arm and also the ME64 capsule.

The 66 for outside and 64 for indoor, controlled environments.

Any thoughts on this combo? Any other recommendations?

Make sure you the the K6 Power module as well...It is separate from the "heads" of the mics...

If you don't plan on using both mics at the same time, buy one K6 and swap the heads...

Never a big fan of those mics. I found they're very prone to handling noise and don't like the wind. Isnide using a boom no complaints.

I'd rather have a 416 from Sennheiser.
