Anyone know of an online turorial for After Effects? The tutorial that comes w/ it is just aweful.

For free after effects tutorials check out the ones over at Creative Cow. They have a bunch of them.

Not online, but a book? Trish & Chris Meyer have a few great books on AF. There is a CD in the back to use along with the book. Vol. 1: The Essentials is the one I have. Easy to follow along. Not online, but very good learning.

I have to second the Andrew Kramer recommendation. Especially check out the Basic Training Link. He understands you need to know how to use the software to use his products so he has recorded an entire basic training series that he is giving away for free on the internet. I think I read somewhere it is almost 2 hours of training. The direct link is:
