Capture/Work Flow in 1080/24p from hvx900

I am about to log and capture from dvcpro tapes onto FCP 5. All footage was shot in 1080 @24P (which is actually 60 [59.94i]). Does any one have any suggestions for:
- settings to avoid
- RTs
- and general issues?
