Anyone use this device? How's it work for you? After my Gentner broken down...again, I've decided to try something new. Like the idea of XLR in and out and that it works on digital phones.

Anyone wanted to buy a used Gentner?

In addition to the That-2, JK Audio makes a great line of audio-phone connections. I have several of their products, surprisingly well built and not over-expensive.

I also carry a number of JK Audio devices, including THAT-2. All of their products are very well designed and built. I understand Joe has spent many years in the telephone industry.

The THAT-2, IMHO, is far superior to the Gentner, both in flexibility and performance.

I also carry a CompPack which allows me to interface directly to analog line, tie in to a digital phone or even a cell phone. We frequently connect to the producers Blackberry for feeding realtime transcriptions. They have some newer products that can interface via Bluetooth as well.

My audio tech has just finished testing the THAT-2 device and found it much easier to use and more reliable than the Gentner. Under $200 @ B&H Photo.

I have a Gentner that will probably never see the light of day again because of my That-2 purchase.
