Is Apple QT compatible with a PC? If I send a file via internet to a pc user, will they be able to view it?

They will have to have the same audio and video codecs on their system that you used when you encoded the file. There are many codecs that will work between Apple and non-Apple machines. If the other person needs only to see the file and not edit it, you could use H.264 and get a tidy file size for the image quality. Just takes longer on your end to encode it. MPEG1 is also dual platform compatible, but not very efficient.

A good preset to use would be AppleTV which is an H.264 file. As long as the pc user has the latest version of QT on their end, it will play the file just fine.
