I don't have a camcorder of my own, but I know there's a lot of people here who do, so I thought I'd pass this along. Apparently, you can build your own 35mm DOF adapter relatively cheaply. Weird.

People have been building their own 35mm adapters for some time now. I'll never forget the guy who decided to build his own (which kind of started the whole thing) because of the expense of a P & S Teknik unit. He used an empty bulk CD case, painted it black, and mounted a motor to vibrate a frost coated packing CD that comes with the stack. Soon, many others were trying the same thing, slowly improving on the same idea while others took a different approach of eliminating the 'ground glass' projection plane.
